Most codes in 99 Nights in the Forest are redeemed in the Lobby with just four taps. One special code — yay fishing — works differently, and it is explained at the bottom of this page.

Redeeming lobby codes

  1. Launch the game and stay in the Lobby. Do not join a server yet.
  2. Open the shop / gem menu — click the diamond icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
  3. Open the codes window — press the blue Codes button in the bottom-right of that menu.
  4. Type the code exactly as listed and hit Submit.
  5. Rewards (Gems, Flames, etc.) are granted instantly — check your balance to confirm.
⚠️ Note: Codes are not case-sensitive, but the spelling must be exact — including the space in yay fishing. If a code is expired, the game simply says it’s invalid or already used. That is how you know it’s dead, not that you typed it wrong.

The special chat code: yay fishing

yay fishing is NOT redeemed in the lobby. To get its 2 Gems:

  1. Upgrade your Campfire to level 2.

  2. Craft/obtain the fishing rod.

  3. Go to a fishing spot and cast the rod so it sits in the water.

  4. Press / to open chat and type:

    yay fishing

  5. Press enter — the 2 Gems spawn instantly.

The space between “yay” and “fishing” is required. Try it at any fishing spot with the rod in the water.

Why codes expire

Developers retire codes with game updates to keep the reward economy balanced. When a code dies, we move it to the Expired Codes archive on the Codes page so players don’t waste time on outdated lists from other sites.
